Hurricane Dorian is still upon us, ringing loudly as a Bell of Mindfulness, trying to wake us up to the reality that we are not separate from nature; our actions matter. On September 20, 2019 students and young people around the world are striking, leaving their studies and assembling to call for attention and action to the climate crisis. They are seeking our help to protect their future and all of Life on our precious planet.

Let us join them, and our Pittsburgh Interfaith Community, sharing our support and presence as a collective Buddhist community working to reduce the suffering for all Beings.

The future is something that always terrifies me. I mean, just the idea of a miserable future is just killing my brain. I know that I am not a rich person, so I do not really have anything that I can do at the moment. I feel like I need to be able to do everything that I can if I want to enjoy my future. I am scared to do something about my life, though, and that is the biggest obstacle.
