Celebrating Many Traditions. One Root Teacher.
Join Us for Vesak 2024!
The Public is Most Welcome.
On Sunday, May 5th, the Thai Buddhist Meditation Center of Pittsburgh will host this year's Vesak celebration at their beautiful Wat Padhammarattana Temple in Monroeville.
Since 2009, the Buddhist community in Pittsburgh has come together to share this international celebration of the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of the Buddha Shakyamuni.
Vesak is an occasion where each Buddhist center shares their practice and we have an opportunity to experience the richness and variety of all the Buddhist traditions, collectively watering our common roots.
